I am so excited to announce my first giveaway!! I have been waiting patiently and now seems like the perfect time! With the summer here and fall coming up in a few months, this is the perfect item to spruce up a picnic. The hubby and I have one of these from our honeymoon and it is a great piece to use throughout the year, both inside and outside.

Ham Cheese Ball Recipe

Ingredients:
2 pkgs. 8 oz. cream cheese
2 pkgs. 2 oz pressed ham cut into fine pieces (small individual “skinny” meat packages)
6 long green onions cut up fine
1 teaspoon Accent seasoning
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
Directions:
Mix everything in a bowl. Once mixed, form it into a ball and chill in the fridge on a platter.

My favorite picnic food is a good old-fashioned, juicy BURGER! And fruit. Although, a cheese board sounds delicious! I’ve recently fallen in love w/ Brie – especially with a balsamic/honey drizzle. YUMMM!
Michelle you need to try Taleggio with Fig Preserves on it! You will love it more than the Brie!!!

Well, picking a favorite picnic food is like choosing a favorite child?! There are so many wonderful delicious options. Right now I am particularly fond of this Greek orzo pasta salad that I have been making that is nice and tangy and full of great crispy vegetables, feta cheese, pine nuts, and either grilled chicken or roasted shrimp. And i also recently started making these frozen watermelon margarita pops where I take big this wedges of watermelon soak them in a mixture of tequila, triple sec, lime juice, sugar, and salt for about an hour or so. then put a Popsicle stick in each and lay them out on a wire cooling wrack over a baking sheet in my freezer to freeze. So crisp and refreshing on a summer day. (of course you can make a non-alcohol version for the kids too!) =)
